Widener Reads Tutor – 2022-2023 School Year

Widener Reads is currently seeking tutors in all subject areas for the 2022/2023 academic year. This is a great, flexible, part-time opportunity for both graduate and undergraduate students seeking on campus employment. You do not need to be an Education major to apply; however, you will need to complete the necessary clearances.

Widener Reads/Widener Counts Tutoring Program is a federally-funded effort committed to helping America’s children become  better readers through extra academic help and building relationships.

Tutors provide children with one-on-one or small-group instruction in reading, phonics, and comprehension and serve as vital role models to the children that they mentor. Widener Reads is currently open to work-study eligible undergraduate and graduate students, paying $12.00/hour.
