Rules and Submission Guidelines

Submit your entries for the International Photo Contest!

Photos must clearly demonstrate a place and the submitter must be in the picture. Pictures should be less than 5 years old and include the location of the photo and a title. Open to Widener University students only.

Prizes (to be determined) will be awarded to:

  • The most liked photo
  • The best photo over all as determined by our judges

Details

Who may enter:

All current Widener students are eligible to enter.

What to enter:

Travel: Locales, peoples or activities in the United States and abroad that convey a sense of place. Photo must include the entrant.

How and When to Enter:

Submit no more than 1 photograph per person. We do not accept more than one contestant per e-mail address. DM submissions to @widenerccge or email submissions to ccge@widener.edu

Digital photographs should be taken at the highest resolution possible. Photographs must be in a .jpeg, .jpg or .gif format. Files submitted may not be larger than 5MB.

All entries must be received by 11:59pm Eastern Time on November 8, 2020.

Judging and Prizes:

An Instagram poll conducted throughout International Education Week will determine the most liked photo.

A panel of judges will select the best photo overall during International Education Week.

Winners will be announced on Instagram and will receive an email with instructions for claiming their prize.

The Fine Print

Terms & Conditions:

By submitting an entry, each contestant agrees to the rules of the contest and states that they are 18 years old or older. Widener University International Student Services reserves the right to solicit a new photo to replace any entry that is deemed offensive or inappropriate. By sending in your photo, you agree to our terms and conditions and grant us a royalty-free, non-exclusive license to publish and otherwise use the photo for media advertising purposes.

Altered Images:

Photographs must have been shot by the entrant since January 1, 2015.

We accept photos in digital format only. Minor adjustments, including spotting, dodging and burning, sharpening, contrast and slight color adjustment or the digital equivalents, are acceptable. If the judges determine that a photographer has altered his or her photo, they reserve the right to move the photo to Altered Images or to disqualify it.

Photos that violate or infringe upon another person’s rights, including but not limited to copyright, are not eligible.

You may not enter the same photo as submitted in prior International Education Week Widener University Photo Contest.
