Social Media Account Policy for Prospective Student Organizations
In order to ensure proper oversight and maintain alignment with university standards, prospective student organizations are not permitted to create or maintain social media accounts representing the organization until official recognition has been granted.
All social media accounts, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, or any other platforms, must comply with the university’s guidelines for student organizations. Creation or use of social media accounts prior to official recognition may result in the organization not receiving approval through the recognition process.
Once a student organization has completed all required steps for recognition and has received official approval, they may request guidance from the Office of Student Engagement on establishing social media accounts that accurately reflect the organization and adhere to university policies.
