Student Organization Advising Eligibility

Faculty and staff members who wish to serve as advisors must be full-time employees of Widener University. In certain cases, the Office of Student Engagement may allow a part-time employee to serve as an advisor if their job responsibilities are directly related to the student organization.

All faculty and staff advisors are required to sign the Advisor Agreement Form, acknowledging their understanding of the responsibilities involved in advising. For newly recognized student organizations, advisors commit to serving for a minimum of two (2) academic years to ensure continuity and sustained support for the group.
