What does SGA do?
The Student Government Association is the governing voice of Widener students. We are here to be the change you wish to see in Widener. We advocate for the student perspective.
When does SGA meet?
The Student Government Association has monthly Town Halls open to the whole student body. SGA also has committees that meet each week. All dates and times can be found on the SGA Instagram @widenersga
Who can I contact to help me with my initiative?
Our email is open to all students for any inquiries and is our main contact point. To bring up issues with the student experience at Widener feel free to also attend one of our monthly Town Halls where all students can voice their concerns at our open forum.

Who can I contact to help me with my RSO spending questions?
SGA holds RSO training workshops every year to help RSOs understand the expenditure process. Our Finance Committee can be reached through our email for any specific questions.

What are the SGA positions?
The Executive Team:
The Executive Team holds the responsibility of carrying out all functions of the SGA. There shall be six (6) members of the Executive Team. The offices of the SGA Executive Team shall be as follows:
President
Vice President of the Senate
Vice President of Finance
Vice President of Public Relations and Special Events
Director of Communication
Recording Secretary
The Senate:
The Senate of SGA consists of Senators to support The Executive Board carry out their responsibilities. The amount of Senators shall fluctuate each year.
First Year Committee Member:
Everyone is a First Year Committee Member in their first semester of SGA until they are inaugurated as Senators in their second semester
How can I join SGA?
SGA has interest meetings and tabling at the beginning of every semester to recruit students to join as a First Year Committee Member. Students can also be elected by the Widener student body during the election process in the spring semester.
