Council of Independent Organizations
PURPOSE STATEMENT
The Council of Independent Organizations (CIO) serves to unite its member organizations. Through mutual respect and equality, the Council of Independent Organizations (CIO) will:
- Promote and enhance professional and independent social fraternities and sororities on campus by serving as a cooperative forum for sharing ideas, information, experiences, and concerns, increasing the awareness of professional and independent social fraternities and sororities on campus.
- Advocate the needs and interests of all member organizations to advance and support their independent and mutual goals.
- Enforce campus expectations and the mutually high standards of its member organization to ensure viable and valuable contributions to the University.
- Introduce initiatives that foster citizenship, friendship, leadership, scholarship, and the further personal development of individual members and the University community.
