Outgoing Mail from Widener Offices

University offices are advised that outgoing mail is due in to the Post Office no later than 3:00 p.m., to allow enough time for processing. Please understand that the bulk of outgoing mail arrives in to the Post Office in the afternoon. Adequate time is needed to process the mail so it is ready for USPS pick up. The USPS mail carrier arrives at 4:00 p.m.  We cannot have the postal carrier wait for mail that is not processed because they are on a tight schedule as well.

Be sure to sort out international mail from domestic mail so the correct postage is applied.

If you choose to send white envelopes as intercampus mail through the mail system, please understand that this is treated as outgoing mail.  If it is mixed in with regular outgoing mail, postage will be applied and it will go out as USPS mail. To avoid this, put white envelopes in an intercampus mail envelope and address to Intercampus Mail.

Also, be sure to separate any international mail so it gets special attention.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to working with you to get your mail processed promptly.

Reminder: Without your five digit account number, mail cannot be processed. Be sure to list this on single pieces of mail, or rubber band a post-it note with the number on larger bundles. Thank you!
