Our Curriculum

At the WCDC, we believe all children learn best through play! Our teachers and staff strive to foster our

student’s intellectual and creative growth with an integrative and immersive approach to learning. Fully immersing students in variety of topics, our curriculum integrates subjects such as language and literacy, mathematics, social and emotional learning, science, art, and more into our daily instruction.

Using the classroom environment as a third teacher, our teachers are intentional when choosing classroom manipulatives and materials related to the current studies. They are reflective practitioners consistently making observations based on students’ individual interests and needs. In doing so, they are sure to meet all students where they are while also challenging them appropriately. Providing a balance of play and more structured activities, our teachers reinforce  kindergarten readiness skills such as letter recognition, number recognition, and rhyming. As our teachers take on a reflective approach within their classrooms, our littlest lions are encouraged to become confident, motivated, and intrinsic learners ready to take on every day!
