Microsoft

Your Widener account provides you access to a Microsoft account that includes e-mail, OneDrive, Microsoft Office products on the web as well as the ability to download Microsoft Office desktop applications on up to five devices. Turnitin Draft Coach

Turnitin Draft Coach is an add-on for Microsoft Word (web version) that reviews your writing for plagiarism, provides feedback on grammar, and assists with citations. This tool is available for all Widener students, faculty, and staff so you can promote it for your students but also use it for your own written work. Foxit

Foxit is a powerful, user-friendly PDF solution that allows you to edit, sign, and secure PDF documents with ease. It offers an intuitive interface, advanced editing features, and collaboration tools. Learn more about FoxIt and how to get started.

 

NVivo

NVivo is a powerful tool for qualitative and mixed-methods research, compatible with both macOS and Windows operating systems. With NVivo, you can enhance your research experience and make the most of your data analysis. To take advantage of NVivo for your research needs, you can request an account via request form.

SPSS

SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) is software that offers advanced statistical analysis for descriptive statistics, regression analyses, visualizing data patterns, and variable distributions.  Faculty and staff can request access to SPSS via QuickTicket.

 

VPN

For certain faculty and staff roles, VPN software is available to access certain platforms off-campus. If you are not sure if your role qualifies for VPN, discuss with your supervisor. If you do require VPN, fill out a QuickTicket for access.
