Set Up MFA with Mobile App
Set up your Multi-Factor Authentication using the Microsoft Authenticator app for your mobile device.

- Visit the security settings page of your Microsoft account and log in. You may see a message saying “More information required”, click Next.

- You will be prompted to download the Authenticator app on your phone. Download the app from your device’s App Store and then click Next.
- Open the Authenticator app on your mobile device, enable notifications if prompted, tap Add Account, and select Work or school account. On your computer, click Next to continue.

- Use the Authenticator app to scan the QR code that generates on your computer. If you are prompted to allow the Authenticator app access to your mobile device’s camera, you will need to select Allow.

- To complete the process, approve the notification that appears on your mobile device and click Done on the message on your computer.
It is recommended while in your Microsoft account to add additional security information such as your phone number in case you lose access to the Authenticator app or your mobile device.
