Set up MFA with Call or Text Verification
Set up your Multi-Factor Authentication using the Microsoft Authenticator app for your mobile device.

- Visit the security settings page of your Microsoft account and log in. You may see an message saying “More information required”, click Next.

- You will be prompted to download the Authenticator app. To use a different method, click “I want to set up a different method” in the bottom left corner.

- You will be shown a dropdown to select either the app or phone, select Phone and enter your phone number.

- Select whether you want to receive verification codes via text or phone call. Click Next.

- You will receive either a text message or phone call based on your selection in the previous step.

- Enter the code provided into the box provided on the log in screen and click Verify.
It is recommended while in your Microsoft account to add additional security information or if available, a back up method for communication.
