Setting Recommendations
Use Specific Meeting Links
When scheduling meetings, creating a link for the specific meeting allows you to customize settings for the specific purpose of the meeting instead of changing settings right before or during a meeting.

Manage Access
Some meetings may require controlling who is able to access a meeting. To do this, you can require participants to register ahead of time, only allow Widener accounts to join, or require a password to join the meeting. These can be helpful options if it is necessary to know who will be joining or prevent unexpected participants.

Enable Waiting Room
Enabling the waiting room for any meeting, including your personal Zoom room, is a best practice. This allows you to control when participants are able to join a Zoom room, giving you time to be prepared, and prevent someone from joining during another meeting or conversation.
Learn how to ensure your waiting room is enabled.
In Meeting Settings
Controlling what participants can and cannot do may be necessary for some meetings. You can set participants to be muted by default upon entry, whether the chat should be enabled or not, who is able to screen share, and more. Reviewing these settings can give you the control you want or need for a specific meeting.
